What was the DWP £299 payment?
The UK provided a £299 payment to households in need who were receiving means-tested grants. The payment was made in three installments on the dates below.
- From 25 April until 17 May 2023, the initial payment is £301.
- Between 31 October and the 19th of November, a second £300 installment was deposited.
- The final £299 Cost of Living Payment was delivered between 6 and 22 February 2024.

Here’s what you should do
You should report missing payments on the leading Government portal if you believe you were entitled but did not receive the cost-of-living payment in February. You only need your national insurance number. Contact the DWP directly via their official number or website to get answers about a payment.
You can report a missing report if you believe you may have received the third cost-of-living payment, but you did not. Navigate to the UK Government’s website. Enter your full name, date of birth, national insurance number, and address. The DWP usually responds to most individuals within two weeks after completing the application.

The DWP advises that you should only report a missed payment once. They will respond as soon as possible. Other government programs may be able to provide assistance, despite the end of cost of living payments.
